During the draw, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada issued invitations to 888 qualified candidates for the latest Express Entry.
IRCC holds third largest PNP draw of 2021
The latest Express Entry draw held by IRCC is fourth round of invitations specifically targeting PNP candidates
A new round of invitations was held on October 27, 2021 for Express Entry candidates who had received a provincial nomination.
During the draw, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued invitations to 888 qualified candidates.
In order to be eligible for the draw, candidates were required to meet a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score of at least 744, which means the original CRS for each candidate was actually 144. Reason being, when someone receives a provincial nomination, they instantly receive 600 extra points on their CRS.
This draw is the third-largest PNP draw to be held since the start of 2021. The largest one was held on June 23 when 1,002 Invitation to Apply (ITAs) were issued.
June 9 saw the second-largest draw with 940 ITAs issued.
Due to the travel restrictions and border closures that were in place because of the pandemic, IRCC has been holding draws for Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and PNP candidates only.
Through the draws, a record number of candidates received invitations in 2021 with two more months still to go!
To date, a total of 111,265 Express Entry candidates have received invitations to apply for permanent residence. The total for 2020 was 107,350.
Canada is clearly meeting its immigration targets for 2021.
