Details from Alberta’s January 5th PNP draw released
The province has just released the details from the first draw it held in 2022
During the first week of the new year, Alberta held a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw, the details of which were just released this week.
January 5, 2022, draw resulted in 250 Express Entry candidates receiving an invitation to apply for a provincial nomination from the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP).
In order to qualify for the draw, candidates were required to meet a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 327.
On top of meeting the score requirement, candidates must also demonstrate they have work experience in one of Alberta’s eligible occupations.
Details from this draw were released almost a week after the province announced the launch of the Accelerated Tech Pathway, a new immigration stream for foreign nationals with tech experience.
The program is similar to British Columbia’s Tech program. Even though the program was only announced earlier this month, the province has been accepting applications for it since December 2021. Alberta has yet to hold a draw under this pathway.
